Wayside Cottage, separate to the main group of cottages has been converted from the 19th century stone stable block and has accommodation for up to six people. The open plan ground floor consists of an oak fitted kitchen, dining area and lounge with mainly south facing windows over the lawns and adjoining meadows and woods. At the top of the stairs is a door leading out onto the old stone steps. This provides alternative access onto the cottage's patio and lawn, featuring a stone well which was a source of water for the farm superceding the natural spring that can still be found at the bottom of the wood below the farm house.

On the first floor is the main bathroom, two double bedrooms, one with en-suite cloakroom, and a third bunk bedroom. Access can also be made available into the adjoining Quarry Cottage to provide accommodation for up to eight people, or separate accommodation for 'Gran and Gramp' if required.
