Fern Cottage

This spacious two person cottage has a double bedroom under the eaves, en-suite bathroom and a gallery landing over the lounge. Below is a cosy lounge with access onto the main courtyard and a south facing picture window with a door leading onto the front lawns and patio. The open-plan kitchen and dining room are well equiped and adjoin the lounge.

The front lawn has a number of large Scot's Pines which were planted to protect the original farm and its outbuildings from the prevailing winds. This was a common practice on farms in the Vale of Glamorgan and visitors staying in the cottages are now able to enjoy watching the wildlife attracted to these large trees to feed on the cone seeds and insects. Beyond and to the south lies a 6 acre hay meadow and the entrance drive. The kitchen and bedroom at the rear of the cottage look out over the paved and planted courtyard and towards the Welsh valleys and the North.
